Recent Shipments
Bestobell LNG has recently supplied the 2nd of 3 deliveries of stainless steel miniature needle globe valves to Samsung Heavy Industries for sampling and purging applications on H1562 LNGCC for A P Moller.

The 3rd shipment is due in July 2005. This will be the 6th ship set that Bestobell LNG has supplied to Samsung Heavy Industries as well as 1 to Daewoo Shipbuilding and Engineering (DSME).

Gastech 2005 Gastech 2005 held in Bilbao 14-17 March saw the launch of Bestobell LNG. Bestobell Valves has been known worldwide for over 40 years for the manufacture of cryogenic valves and the focus is now on the growing LNG market. This will mean the utilisation of existing Bestobell Valves experience in cryogenic valve design, applying the technology developed for industrial gas cryogenics to hydrocarbon cryogenics. Bestobell has already supplied Samsung Heavy Industries and DSME with valves for LNGCC for a number of years and is an existing supplier to land-based companies such as Skanska, Chart Ferox and TW Harsco.

The range of stainless steel fire-safe valves is expanding to include swing check and outside screw & yoke globe valves up to DN400 CL300. Our aim is to educate the market with regard to the correct valve selection according to the application. We feel that it is our responsibility as an experienced manufacturer of cryogenic valves to inform ship owners, operators and shipyards of the possible implications of using valves that were not originally designed for cryogenic applications.

As a first time exhibitor to Gastech, we were pleased to welcome a large number of visitors to our stand and we look forward to working with them for many years to come.
